cdp is seeking a highly-motivated, meticulousindividual with excellent relationship-building, communication andorganizational skills to work on deforestation engagement with private sectorfrom china. this person will support cdp supply chain acｃｏｕｎｔ managers and seniorproject officer to ｄｅｌiver a on number of exciting projects.

cdp officially enteredchina in 2012 and is committed to providing aunified reporting platform for chinese companies to promote the development ofgreen finance and low-carbon supply chain management in china and identifycompanies that excel in environmental protection. together with world’s leadingcompanies in tackling climate change, we conduct scientific benchmarking inoverall performance and are therefore recognized and welcomed by chinesecompanies. in 2017, the response rate of invited companies reached 80%, rankingsecond in the world. at the same time, cdp actively cooperates withgovernments, financial institutions, academic institutions and otherstakeholders in china. as a special member of china green finance committee,cdp supports and participates in the research of important topics such asenvironmental information disclosure, responsible investment and risk analysistools of listed companies. previously, cdp’s experts supported the completionof the green procurement guiｄｅｌines, in which carbon market monitoring,reporting and verification (mrv) and other indicators have been approved by therelevant ministries. cdp highly agrees with the general secretary’s developmentphilosophy of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.” andlooks forward to sharing more international experience and integrating morelocal practices while working with partners to contribute to the development ofchina’s green finance and eco-civilization.
key responsibilities include:
engage with and supportchina suppliers to increase the levels of supply chain disclosure ondeforestation.
help to developeducational and training materials for company procurement teams
support planning andｄｅｌivery of multi-stakeholder dialogue events, workshops and conferences
contribute to thedevelopment and ｄｅｌivery of webinars
coordinate with cdpcolleagues across programs and ｃｏｕｎｔries
the role requires working closely with cdp global forest team and sustainableagriculture project and related stake holders to support the project ｄｅｌiveryand outputs.
required skillsand experience:
msc degree with minimum of3+ years’ full-time work experience in fields relevant to sustainability/ deforestationissues and an understanding of related commodity supply chains and/or projectmanagement and implementation.
experience in privatesector and food and daily chemical industry is preferred.
native chinese speaker andfluent english in oral and written.
detail-oriented andorganized thinker who can juggle multiple, competing priorities.
ability to present complexinformation in a clear and concise manner.
excellent computer skillsin microsoft office and interｎｅｔ research.
demonstrated ability towork both independently as well as part of a team.
strong interpersonalskills and the ability to work with teams of individuals and colleagues.
extremely well organizedand efficient.
ability to travel whenneeded
desirable qualities:

this is a full-time position based in cdp’s beijingoffice reporting to project manager.
